I suppose you have to be careful on a forum because you dont know who might be looking. The guy in question doesn't WANT to drive manual so he wont get tested. I'm sure if he asked, they would. I believe his autoshift was fixed within a couple of days.
By the same token I really will avoid an autoshift as much as I can, but I dont have anything legally baring me from driving one. Different strokes for different folks. -
There’s no good reason I can think of that the company hasn’t bothered to get him a road test to upgrade his license to remove the restriction.

He told one of the workers at my farm (we both go there every other day rotating) he likes driving 84 and shifting it. He ought to get retested so he can drive what he wants. He drove class b tanker manual for a long time
