It don't matter if you failed anything, the problem is you had in your possession illegal drugs.

 

That will go against his criminal record, for the companies that checks it, but will not show up on his driving record. If he gets it down to misdemeanor status, Canada will probably not even care.

"Never failed a drug test." Yet has drugs not allowed by federal rules in commercial vehicle.
This isn't the 70s. If you want to use cannabis or whatever keep it out of commercial vehicles. Or don't do it if you want to keep trucking.

 

IF you end up going for your own authority, which you will most likely be able to. That isn't the problem .Your problem will be finding an insurance company to cover you without an extremely large amount of money.....if it all. That's just my perspective
