Lots of people don't even have cb, I don't intend on getting one the way I seen it I have been at this since February and I have not needed one yet, so I don't need to bother wasting my money on one. Part of it, is that lots of the people on them seem to be into a "trucker culture" that I for one want nothing to do with.

Not trying to argue with your logic or fault your decision, because it obviously worked for you. However, I am curious how you handled shippers and receivers who check trucks in in and then relegate them to a holding area monitoring channel "whatever" until their unit is called for loading or unloading. I have run into this on more than one occasion. Maybe it just never happened to you.

    KMac and LaBubba Thank this.

    I switched jobs/trucks 2mths ago, haven't rehooked up CB and don't think I will, I don't miss it...

Give them your cell number...If I was still running in those circles, I'd probably still use CB...

used mainly to see how long a back up is going to be what MM it clears up etc, to help me plan better what I may need to do.

Prefer not to hear mr echo know it all or the Dbags making comments about the bus load of teenage girls they were salivating over at the rest stop.

Running the hours I do now, largely the only truck on a particular patch of asphalt it stays off unless I see traffic backed up during the early morning hours during rush hour.

Haha I turn mine on when in Memphis, I laugh at all of the funny things said. In fact that is the only place where people actually say interesting things. I laugh at the drug guy/police who says kick it to 22 for the real deal lol.

    KMac Thanks this.

I am not worried about bear alerts since my truck is governed at 64 so I cannot speed and everything else is in order.
