Perhaps, but you'll never hear the hash and trash and foul language on that channel that you will hear on others. It's strictly a DX channel.

I keep my CB on, but when I run into the linear crowd, it makes me want to turn it off . If I could put a linear in a company truck I would, but I can't.

I wonder how many drivers yesterday 11/08/12 east bound on I 24 going over the eagle that had to stop half way down and wait for hours because of the trailer fire at exit 143 wish they had their radios on as I was telling them
they were going to have to stop. From the top, all the way to the 80 mm I shouted it out constintly. I got like 5 or 6 comebacks so at least they knew to shut down at the top and take a break. but whatever, leave it off, its not like your going to hear anything worth wile, right?

Well happens that just the other day, a truck passed me and low and behold only trailer lights were the signals and the brakes,no running lights radioed the driver and told her, she had her radio on and told me she would have it checked at the FJ. I told her I would cover her tail until she could get safely to the FJ. Cost me a few minutes of driving time but followed her to the pumps and the turned around back onto the interstate. Better safe than sorry. Had she not had her radio on and passed a bear like that it would be a fine she could have done without.

In bad weather or in new places keep it on, it will save your ###. Around big cities and truck stops turn it off after you park. I do understand it is a pain at times.
