Start with a company like Roehl. They'll micromanage every move that you make, but if you listen to what they preach to you you will learn how to run safe and legal. Take that knowledge down the road and apply it to a place where you can get more miles.
I lost my job today.

Christ, doesn't anyone know this is just the way things are? Companies, in any industry, will operate outside of the boundaries of the law to make money.
"Oh, what happens if your mother gets run over by one of these trucks"? Most successful companies, in any industry today, have broken 1001 laws to make money and build their business; I'm not saying it's right, I''m just saying it's just the way things are.
LMAO at Roehl teaching you how to "run"....
Just move on with your new job; people need to stop policing.. -
Dammn it driver.

Or they run heavy to compensate for low tonnage rates. 80,000 causes damage any extra causes more damage, avoiding tax while a popular past time is illegal and another avenue for covering for cheaper rates by pocketing it, same as cut rate or no insurance.
Waiting for the cops to finally do their job and shut down lowlifes like these takes far to long.
Waiting for their actions to finally cause someone great harm is unacceptable.
Some times karma just needs a little help in leveling the scales of justice. -
As for the valve stem deal, that will only get you hurt, eventually. So really it isn't worth it and really makes you no better than this company. By doing this it will only turn them into the victim, we don't want that. -
I already made my choice to move on long ago, I will answer a few questions you guys seemed to have. The driver did NOT have his CDL, he became a friend of mine and we ran together alot, and I did see his license and he has too bad of a record to get insured if he did get his CDL, thats why they dont just train him, the company only had 5 trucks. The trucks were all in excellent condition, big hoods, big hammers, lots of chrome, all newer brakes, tires, etc.

Oh no!
I guess I'll probably hate myself in the morning...But we'll see.
YEP! I agree....Guys like that are a drag to work for, But that's not what I was talking about.
Getting a reputation of being a snitch is what I was addressing....Nobody likes a rat except another rat! -
Giggles the Original Thanks this.

Nobodies life was saved here....Nobodies life was ever in danger in this situation. 81,000 pounds? So what?
A driver without a license is the only issue that I see that's serious.
Lot's of these sleazy dump truck outfits operate like that and have for years...It's not right but it's really not hurting anyone either.
I don't condone the practice but I also know that in many cases the "Oh so respected" law enforcement community turns a blind eye to these carriers even when they know what's going on.
Dropping a dime just gets a guy a reputation that'll follow him forever and it just isn't worth it!
