I do agree. Please don't misunderstand me, I am not pro onguard at all, just have learned to make it work for me since I can't ditch it.

I never use the accelerator override though, it causes even more dangerous situations ime.

Ok. Now I get the frustration felt my some on here from time to time. Long winded post following.
So due to delays at my 2 stop unload I arrive at my pickup in Lancaster PA with 4 hours on my 14 instead of the 7 or 8 I planned for.
It's a drop and hook going down to Dover by 23:59 tonight...with traffic and lights I'm looking at 2 hour drive drop....hook and 90 minutes to make the hour drive to my parents house and if I run short I'll just park in Carneys Point NJ and they will come get me. No big deal.
Get to shipper for the load supposedly ready since 7am.
"Back into door 4 you are a live load"

Ok let me plan for all contingencies here.
So I call my ICA.
Of course I get forwarded to some random...
Tell him the situation.....
"So what are you asking?"
"I am asking can we open the window up in this drop and hook"
"I can't do anything for sure until you know you can't make it"
"Yes but I'm not saying I can't make it...as a matter of fact I probably can...however my dilemma is I am not sure I can park overnight there and in pretty sure my clock will run out while I'm there....so while I know I CAN make it I need to see if we can open the window so I can run legal to get to a safe haven"
"Well if you get there and they kick you off call the local PD and they will escort you to a safe haven...that's all I can do for you right now"
