I made a Choice to come to Schneider

I had finally gotten around to getting the fuel card from NASTC Fleet One. I like it and easy to set up. Discounts so far are better than Schneider. For example today the TA in Dallas is a $.05 cheaper than at the OC.

 

Well done box planners....well done....arrived at my drop and guard told me Schneider trucks had been bobtailing in all day yesterday to pick up empties. Evidently nobody checked to see if perhaps there were loads being dropped and those drivers would need empties.

So here I sit having to be at my next pickup in an hour waiting to fetch a trailer....in Dallas...at 8:30....awesome

 

I was told the OC was supposed to be the same price as the local PFJ....with our discount already applied and the added advantage of not being charged the $1 service charge. But then again never believe what your told right? Lol

Either way it's still a couple cents cheaper and I mainly got it to reap the benefits when I run the northeast.

 

The trailer search ended up not being bad. Just the part waiting for them to find me one. After it was all said and done I got to my appointment 2 hours late and the shipper rescheduled till tomorrow.

You know what no skin off my back? I was taking it to Palestine and then deadheading back to Wimer to grab my load home to Houston. It paid $300...now I get the $150 VNU and no deadhead and my Wilmer load was ready 2 hours early. I'm gonna call it a win.

 

Grabbing some supplies in Buffalo, TX to hold me over for the night. Then I'll head out of here for the 2 hour drive to the cons in Houston for my 0630 offload.

 

I'm a pretty laid back guy but there is a gentleman who seems to answer the phone anytime my ICA is not available who is a straight up dick. I gave him the benefit of the doubt the first time or 2 but now it's like 5 times in a row.

Anyway somebody ####ed up....surprise surprise. As explained to me by receiver...this load is a multiple PO order and only one PO has an appointment so we'll take you today but it will probably be around noon.
