The VW load you're referring to on the board is the one that used to be 3400 plus and now it's 2550 it's contract freight but the rate keeps dropping.

I'm not sure about the live load I was referring to last week if it the same or not but I was told it was. Either way Laredo to Cranberry is the same lane and SNI always says lanes dictate rates....guess not in this case.

Regardless a drop from 3400 to 2550 is ridiculous there was never 800.00 in fuel surcharge on the load so it can't be that and it's contract freight so I doubt it's that.

I did that load a couple of years ago, and it payed dang good. Saw it pop up last week and didn't really pay enough to do the trip. Maybe some of that other stuff is HD.......there's a Dc about a block down the street from VW.

I may get fired for this but I'm gonna post an actual screenshot of the Laredo load board.

Only went in to get to Texas from the Northeast. Not really a big deal if I have to bobtail home. Since I booked the load a week ago I figured SOMETHING would pop up by now....I'm really looking for something to Dallas or Marietta then back to Houston just to pad the bank account before the weekend.

Otherwise I agree I never go to Laredo if I'm planning on staying out without checking the exit strategy.

your closest point is San Antonio, about 200 miles, but no freight there either. If it were me, I'd ride to Houston. They'll have something for you there

Houston is home. If nothing pops up. I go home.

Want to be home Friday anyway. I will deliver this Thursday before the sun comes up and usually I can make a Laredo to Dallas or Marietta run then a Wilmer to Houston or Sealy run to get me home by Friday. Otherwise I skip those and just go home Thursday. I win either way

so, its not too bad, really.......300 miles at 8 or 9 mpg is only gonna set you back $50 or so. Just miss out on a days work, but, hey, it happens (with greater frequency lately).
