Yep. And if that happens I can usually find a short run or 2 with same day pickup/delivery for Monday if I choose to. It's not ideal but I knew what I was getting into when I took this load.

So Laredo is still a vast wasteland so I decided to take a crap load from Austin to Dallas then run one to the house from Wilmer. Backed that up with a load out of the house that picks up Monday and can deliver the same day and get on this settlement. So all in all make a little lemonade out of lemons

Fuel prices being low, helps me out a lot. It would be hard to survive with the fuel prices high. I was around when fuel prices were in the $4 range.

According to a freight article a week ago Texas is just brutal right now, pretty much the worst area in the country. In particular the Dallas-Denver, Denver-Dallas is one of the worst lanes, and Houston in general is horrible. I was in Houston yesterday and the truck stops were overflowing at 11am on a Monday. Everyone is just parked

One of the main reasons I took the garbage load I did. I calculated the fuel I'll burn and still be ok.

Yes I'm noticing the truck stops being full. I was at the pilot in Byron Ga. Arrive there around 1300 and the lot was almost full.

I'm wondering how much worse it will get before it starts getting better. Loads availability continues to dry up, and the majority of loads that are available aren't worth pulling.

By the time mid March hits we'll have a better idea. February is the worst month for freight.
