Is this a problem with the DOT officers not being sure of the regs state to state? One tells you "you can't sign until the end of the day, because how do you know what you will be doing in the coming hours?"; another tells you (in the middle of your 14), "why haven't you signed the log stating what you have done up to this point is true"? Different cop, different interpretations? That has to be maddening.
I met the coolest couple of guys today....too bad they were in uniform!!!!

I'm so proud. Sonny finally popped his cherry!
Congrats on your first driving award!
It seems like only yesterday you were asking us what a log was.
Funny how it took ya til the other day to find out from Maine's finest!
Not that I'm bragging or anything, but I didn't get shut down for logs until 2008.
That's 5 years into my illustrious career.
I did manage to get 2 moving violations prior to that (2005 and 2007) so I reckon I still got ya beat.JustSonny Thanks this. -

I don't ever want one of those awards....
I've never been shut down for that either....Even when we were running 2 log books back in the 70's and 80's.
I did have one of those about 20 years ago...
I hope you learned a valuable lesson Sonny. -
