But...it can show up in a hair test.

 

One pill, one time isn’t showing up in anything.

 

In my post #29 I linked to a home hair test. I HIGHLY recommend ANYONE who has taken ANY of the substances listed in 40.87 within the last 6 months to get it and make dang sure you test clean! Do this before starting the hiring process.

I can't seem to be able to get a straight answer about this hair testing being done today. Do they have cutoffs or not? Do they consider the very presence of a banned substance to be positive? Are there safeguards in regard to how this affects African Americans? Try as I might I can't get anybody to go on record and answer these questions. Until the DOT changes part 40 and lays out the internals of hair testing when they start allowing it, all I will say is consider it a positive if you have used anything in 40.87 and act accordingly!

 

There is a simple reason for that. There is regs for hair testing and as such it's up to the company to choose whatever cutoffs they want.
