So,i was just leaving 711(got a 52 0z refill) and there was a dude unloading a beer truck.I held the door for him as i was walking out.Well i asked him if his company hires new drivers..Hey says "yes, and were actually looking for 5 drivers right now" He says its hard work.Didn't look that hard to me though. He didn't look rushed. The company is not even 2 miles from my house.I currently drive 30 miles to work every night at the orange county register.I drive a bobtail truck.
Anywho,i have a felony conviction that is over 5 years old(yes i know your tired of hearing this) but I'm unsure if i should be honest about the felonies or not?My uncle jim says that he always lied in the past about his felonies, but i cant really afford to be out of work if they find out.Do you think i should be honest about them?I think if i was to get an interview and explain the circumstances they might not seem so serious because it was family issue(with my dad) that got out of hand.
Any advise is welcome. This is my first attempt at looking for a job in about 4 years. Thanks,
pat
!!!I might have found a job!!..need advise

I wouldn't lie about it. They not find out on day one or two, but they will eventually and you will find yourself looking for another job having lied on your application.
The Challenger Thanks this. -
Yeah i guess you're right.I guess i already knew the answer to that question.I'm just nervous. It's been a while since i've even tried to find a job.I usually make bad first impressions.Any advise or tips for driving a beer truck?

Very carefully! Loads are heavy and are liquid. You will definitely be a good driver after delivering into tight stores 20-30 times a day!

Yeah, delivering kegs to upstairs bars, cases upon cases to bars in low rent neighborhoods, sounds like fun!

It has done me wonders delivering the CO2 needed for them. It is fun as you will often get offered free sodas if the customer is nice.

dont get overly concerned - whatever the offense is what matters for those people is dont want thieves, other than that for 4 years without a job it sorta depends on what "history investigation" company actually uses ~ the number one to remember is if you do get on it is "be nice to customer and no significant accidents" which is sorta hard running city / local but that's the way it is
