I looked them up too and found the same. Scratch them off I guess. A company has to keep the wheels turning or guarantee weekly minmum pay.

So as one who hires, what do you have to offer to make these demands?

10 years of safe driving with safety awards?

5 years of safe driving with no incidents?

    what??

When it comes to the megas, it’s all about who is your direct supervisor. Ive had some horrible supervisors and it can take a bit of doing to get on a different account but its doable. Ive also had great supervisors and it was not bad really.

I drove hard, took good care of my truck and got plenty of rest when I could and I think only had one late in 18 months. (Bad trip plan)

Hometime rules was one of the things that really started bugging me and no matter your supervisor they aren’t going to have much leeway on that. From time to time sure but not regularly. And you gotta stand firm when the higher ups try to screw you with junk equipment and stuff like that lol.

Get a good supervisor and make him look good.

The picture I attached is what Heartland Express considers ‘OTR’.

They were my first OTR gig. Lasted a month before I was out. I know the old timers have some moral issue with job hopping, but that one wasn’t for me. Call me crazy, but seeing the same 5-6 states on repeat for 4 weeks out, 4 days home isn’t a good OTR gig. Especially not when weeks total out to 2100 average miles and average length of haul is under 400 miles. If that’s what someone wanted to do, they’d just go grab a regional, home weekends gig.

For sake of fairness, they did have manual trucks, lots of terminals, and decent equipment all around. And lots of the short runs were drop and hooks. So not all bad

Who cares? I got 90% of these things with my first company straight out of cdl school, it's not like it's asking much.

Good on you for not staying there more than a month. Those trip summaries in your screenshot look like absolute garbage.
I see you were brave enough to move on so quickly even as a new otr driver. And look now, you're still getting otr companies to hire you. Have you ever found any companies that keep you west?

    Personal autonomy...

The fact that you would even ask that question - at all, really, but especially when his list was so reasonable! - speaks volumes. You're SUCH a part of the problem! We aren't robots, no matter how much you desk jockies like to pretend we aren't even people. We're allowed to look for a company that best fits our needs, regardless of what you think about it, or whether or not you think he deserves what he's... "demanding."

if you take more than a couple days off (like 4) you probably wont get the same truck. dispatcher is also a little slow (not to their fault i believe theres only one or 2 managing everything at once)
