Screw all of that lawyer ####. Cut your losses and drive for someone else. The money you spend trying to recover a few bucks, you could have gone to another company that would treat you right. The money you spend trying to fight them, chances are you'll spend more than what it is owed to you.

Most likely local terminal manager playing dirty game. Collect evidences and inform headquarter. If big boss decide to cover up local boss then google name of the lawyer firm from NYC who was against Werner in Texas wreck. They will be glad to rip apart JBH for millions. Let sharks bite sharks.

I’ve ran into this before. Called the the state labor commissioner in my state and sent them the iron clad evidence. About 6 weeks later I got a call from the same labor commissioner who had a check for me provided I was willing to sign a non disclosure agreement. Signed it. Got the check. Moved on to a different company.

Start here and set up some consultations. Home - NELA-Illinois

Could you give a brief overview of how you think they're skimming paychecks? If a company as big as JB can do it, then it's a scheme we should all be cognizant of.

Actually I thought the plot curdled like cream sauce over high heat.

Driver was told to do "WORK", with assignment to follow. Assignment never followed, Driver assumed it would be fixed on the back end but didn't check. When Driver did check, Management immediately investigated and paid out according to policy with a polite "hey, sorry we messed up and I'm talking with everyone to make sure this isn't an ongoing thing" note.

And when I said "Driver", I should have said "Contractor", which means this isn't wage theft and probably doesn't even rise to fraud. If policy is "do XYZ to be paid", but X never arrives so even though I do Y, I can't do Z, then not getting paid is on me becuase even thought the Company failed, I failed to hold the company accountable within the contracted time frame.

    Not surprised.

    Good idea.

Yeah, but they take like 6 month coffee breaks. Don't expect any sort of 'speed' from the IRS

Ah, now the plot thickens. I can pretty much guarantee you that JB Hunt, Inc. is NOT intentionally cheating you. Too many drivers, too big a target. It's a slim possibility that a terminal manager has a grift going on, but JBH will certainly catch him/her in time with all the financial audits they have . From reading your documents, it seems that their pay software is either glitchy, or else the dispatchers are using it incorrectly (most likely answer). Trust me, you WILL get your pay, but probably not immediately.

DOCUMENT everything and check through your weekly statements very carefully. Keep records, and don't be accusative. They are a big bureaucracy, so you're going to have to wait for them to fix the problem.

    Siinman Thanks this.
