Ok besides me being pathetic and not knowing where to look for these things Ill let yall know the situation. Im 18 ,which is my biggest problem, and im going through a class at indian hills right now to get my cdl and start driving. If it were up to me i would be over the road and not have any problem with it but I Have to stay instate until im 18 as most of you know. I have only seen one add that does in state besides Manatts soo if anyone knows trucking companies that could keep me in Iowa that would be greatly appreciated b/c most of my instructors are stumped. Idc if its a truck in pup to tanker I will get the nessecary additions to my class a as needed. That and to be honest i have very little job experience in general being from a small town I have only had one job in which my boss skipped town taking my pay check and any information with him. Any info or advice would be great.

A lot of companies will not hire until you are 25. Some will hire if you are 23. Not very many will hire under that. Other than something local like grain or livestalk or a construction company. You will not have much luck. Then when you get that age if you don't have recent OTR or a recent grad you will need a refresher course. Sorry, I know that is not what you want to hear.

Concrete season is coming up.
Not sure if you can relocate, but just Click on Transportation and put your State in, and there should be a ton of work driving locally.

Just an FYI: Federal regulations states you must be 21 years of age to drive a CMV across state lines. Most states will give you a CDL at 18 years of age for Intrastate transportation only.
Define:
Interstate travel: If the trailer was loaded in state A and dropped in state B it is considered an Interstate load. (21 or older)
Intrastate travel: If the trailer was loaded in state A and is going to a location within state A it is an Intrastate load. (18 or older)
