    I was lookin at us xpress,then I seen alot of bad things about them on here.I was wandering about Hogan?I cant find to much about them.I drove for transport america and nick strimbu,neither worked out..I am just lookin for a good company,do they exist???Does anyone know anything about Blume refrigerated?I need some info really soon...And info about hogan or blume would be really appriciated...I have to make a decision quick..Thanks for any input........

    I have never heard of those companies, but i can recommend a few, Schneider, Roehl and Crete seem to be among the best as far as the big companies go.

    You might let us know what you are looking to do, where you want to run, that sort of thing. Regional? National? Van? Flat? Reefer? etc.

    bro with ya being a student the jobs will be about all the same im sorry these companies has is set up this way they all suck but untill you get that 2 years and maybe in some cases 1 year experience my suggestion would be pick one of the big companies and stick it out cause of all of the different customers they might have get all of the experience you can from them and then try to find you a smaller company to drive for then it will get better for ya and then you can pick your company you wont be able to stop them from calling fido

    Well forget about hogan for now.They wont hire me cause I dont have 6 months.I told the recruiter about the website saying they hire students,he said only if you signed to go to school for them!I am still waiting to talk to some one from blume.I was also looking into the tanker division of schneider.I was also thinking about maverick.Is there upsides to these choices?I would love to hear from people that had experience with these 2 companys.Does maverick use autos' at oreintation?

    You mentioned several company's. What do you drive? You mentioned Schneider tanker then you said Maverick which is a flat bed co. Why would you want an automatic? The best way to learn to drive anything from a car to a big truck is to drive a standard. I had a friend that worked at Hogan .She had a lot of complaints about them. Being an over the road driver, she was given alot of trailer shuffles 7 or 8 in one day that amounted to no miles. With little experience you will probably have to go with one of the big co. and put up with their crap until you get a year or two behind you. It really doesn't matter which one you choose pretty much all the same only the 800 number is different.:biggrin_25521:

    I did alot of tanker and flat bed driving in Iraq.The enjoyed pulling tanks cause it was usually fuel so it was pretty cut and dry about your duties with a tanker.I also enjoyed hauling flatbed.There was alot more work involved,but I liked it.As far as automatics go,I can shift.I dont think goin to a company that has automatics will hurt nothing.I might be rusty after a few years,but I wont forget how to shift.I see alot of people on here calling people who drive automatics "steering wheel holders".For the short time I was with other companies,I spent 95% of my time in 10th gear.After you get up to speed,it might as well be an automatic lol....I have seen some ok stuff with maverick.I havnt heard alot of good things about schneider,but that was from the van drivers.I havnt heard nothin about the tank division.I was just wanderin about the 2 companies

    iraqvet, when were you there and what did you drive? i was there for all of 2005 drove 915a3 with an 872 (40 foot flat) im going with schneider van. from what there recruiter told me (take with grain of salt) there bulk (tank) is much smaller unit. schneider has a bad rap with driver satisfaction but one of if not the best training in the industry from what ive heard

    I was at a base called fob endurance about 30 minutes south of mosul.I was there sept-25-05 - sept-28-06.We drove 915 A2s and 3s.They were junk lol.I wonder if the tank division being smaller may be better?Thats usually how its works(I am told)?Maybe its the little gem of schneider?
