We started about 10 weeks ago with Eagle Logistics out of Indianapolis. We are having the hardest time finding good paying freight because they refuse to sign rate confirmation sheets. If we sign them we get terminated. A lot of brokers are telling us to leave asap. We are needing some advice. Do we stay and try doing something different? Is there something we don't know about? Or is it best to get out? Thanks!

Does it cost you $250.00 a week in insurance, and damage escrow account?

If you can't sign a rate confirmation, and they won't, then how the heck are you supposed to get a load?

I am with spyder, if you are dispatching yourself then how are you supposed to make any money if your carrier will not sign a contract or rate sheet on your behalf. Are the customers you are wanting to haul for credit worthy?

Yeah that's our point we can only deal with bottom feeder brokers. But there are some drivers making a killing and we thought we are doing something wrong.

Yes it's just against policy to sign rate confirmation. We didn't know that until after we started.

If they're going to prohibit you from signing rate cons they need office staff in place to take care of that 7/24/365 within 10 minutes of you verbally booking anything and a rate con coming over. You should always have a rate con emailed to both you and the company that way you know if they got it or not. Someone asked if you are trying to book with brokers who are not credit worthy? You never did answer that. Not every company out here will just let you book with anyone willy nilly and rightfully so.
