Im wondering If anybody has the inside scoop on any dedicated runs out of the Austin TX area headed to Houston Tx area? I run this daily but I always have to deadhead to San Antonio, TX or Waco TX. Any help would be apreciated.

Yeah, I charge $250K on one load and take the rest of the year off. It's not working out too well for me though.

I'm not sure I want the extra competition, but wht don't you tell me who you are getting loads from out of Houston?

    ????

It isn't any different than any other city .. no freight leaving, charge enough to bounce .. if your time isn't worth anything to you, then go in there for cheap and haul back to where you want for cheap and have the same gross revenue per mile ... sure, you can go in for round trip rate and sometimes get some extra gravy if you want to call it that for the return, but just remember how good customers that want their freight hauled for peanuts are ...

If you play guitar you might do a gig in a bar in Austin for fuel money back to Houston!

The only place I've loaded more than once in Austin is Otis Spunkmeyer frozen. 9 times out of 10 I'm bouncing out of there to Waco or home. Any load I take to Austin has enough money to deadhead out and then some for making me go through the crappy traffic in that town and dealing with the hippy liberals.
