I first off want to thank everyone for the great info on this forum. Its the best iv got. Im not sure if i should just go to Rohel and let them train me...? Or should i go to the liberty truck school by my house, they charge 4000$ for the program.? I just dont like the idea if sighning an employment contract with Rohel that would take a year to a year and a half to complete. What do you think? Pay for school my self or let Rohel train me ?
I need more advise

Neither, try to get a State grant.
-
Go to your local employment office an inquire about WIA, its a grant program that will pay for CDL school.
-
Get the grant if you have time, if not and you have the money just go to the school.
I paid for school and have no regrets, left my first driving job after just 4 months and left the second one after 8 more months.
I'm really glad I wasn't locked into a contract anywhere.Marco247 Thanks this. -
I'd first learn to spell advice

Listen. These guys all have great ideas. Mine is to let Rohel train you. The reason is, and it's the direct opposite of what they're saying, is you are beholden to them for a time. It'll teach you patience and discipline. You have to be there to complete their requirement, and you'll have experience, without job hopping, to get into a better company when you're ready after your requirement is up.

4000 for a new career where a lot of companies will give you tuition reimbursement. A year to a year and a half is too long. Invest in yourself. 4000 well spent. My opinion...

That's not in the job description.People get paid to drive truck. They want drivers to spell correctly then pay extra.

I have a friend that had michigan works pay for his school. but im prety sure you have to be unempolyed. I have to stay working right up until i make the transition. Im all about the training and experience that rohel would provide. I just dont like ithe idea of being under contract.
