Hey Everyone,
Well I've been with Landstar for about three years now. The money has been OK, but I have always felt unimportant to the company. In fact, I had a situation at one time when my girl got very ill and was in the hospital for over a month. All I had asked for was a few days off to see her after she went in, and I was shocked at the response I got. Basically, they told me to go fly a kite. That was an eye opening experience for me. I recently met with the owners of OE Trucking and they want to bring me on board. I didn't tell them about what happened with my girl, yet one of the owners had made a point of saying that they understand the challeges of the lifestyle we lead, and whenever a situation may arise, personal or otherwise, they will always help in any way possible. I had heard this before about them, so I would like to know if anyone out there has any information about them?
Thank you so much, Jimmy.
I need some advice...OE Trucking

Hey Jimmy, this is Richard C. one of the Partners in OE Trucking, LLC (MC# 831298) out of Atlanta, GA. Sorry to hear about how Landstar treated you. One of our Owner/Ops just had back to back problems and had to get home to NC twice in 2 weeks. We got him the freight he needed to get home both times without any trouble. If you have any questions PM me and I will give you my phone number.

Dude, quite spreading lies about our company or we will be forced to seek legal actions.

I am a driver myself MACK E-6. What he is doing is slander and unfounded. I was a driver for OE Trucking while he worked for us and was the one they had call him trying to work things out when he wouldn't answer the phone. I was the driver that had to recover his abandoned truck after he deadheaded over a thousand miles home without permission. I am now, also, an owner of the company which he could have rose to that position had he not been such a [INSULT REMOVED].....

I have a question about the original post. I have never worked for Landstar but from what I understand you basically dispatch yourself. You pick loads that you want from their agents, you run where you want and go home when you want. Am I wrong about that? If that is true how can they tell you can't take days off for any reason you want. I've never heard a Landstar o/o say they were forced to take any load.

But if you and your company actually do NOT operate as he says, then you should feel confident that you will stand or fall on your own merits like any other, and take whatever he says with a grain of salt.
That shouldn't be a real grave concern around here because I, for one, have never heard of you until recently.
