You can't blame them for that. I would want to know why my truck rolled over also. If they fire you for anything it will be bad pre-trip but I bet they don't fire you at all unless they wanted to get rid of you even before the accident.

In the event that they do fire you, I would talk to a lawyer. Did you see a doctor? Have you developed any pain since the accident? I would seek to maximize my leverage if I were you.

You need to stay away from companies with bad equipment.Next time something far worse could happen.I was driving thru Muskogee,Ok at 25 mph and the trailer axle snapped in half.I'm very lucky it happened where it did because five mile later the speed changes to 75.Can you imagine what could have possibly happened had I was driving that speed.I manage to drive into the pilot and there I sat in the fuel island for 4 hrs waiting for brkdown. The pilot was good about not saying anything because they weren't busy.

I believed the shackles but im still uncertain the guybi was contracted with wont tell me the actual part that broke i feel as he trying to hide something he said out his own mouth monday it was because of the drive axle in front of me and a guy name carl which is the safety supervisor for the gary terminal but the thing is carl boss in Taylor Michigan is the one investigating the whole thing and she has a real hard on for my contractor the owner op that own the truck

Oh you're a driver for an owner op. It just got more complicated LOL. It's possible that the company fires your boss but the boss might keep you and put you on a different run. Or the company can fire your boss and he maybe won't fire you but lay you off for lack of work. Actually anything can happen.

Kind of a mess, but the bottom line *as I see it* is this:
    1. You said you don't want to work for him anymore
    2. I don't think mechanical failure rollover will prevent you from getting another job
    3. You're not hurt and able to work

    So it really doesn't matter

If it's a mechanical failure by nature the company can always view it as a incorrect pre trip. I don't care if it's a blown tire. If you walk away from a crash and know you did a good pretrip, thats trucking. Some of the junk I've driven. Now I just say no.

Yep. The company only knows they hired your boss to do a job. You are irrelevant to them. You're just part of the truck to them. It's really between you and your boss as I see it. This is exactly why companies out source trucking......they can shed alot of liability.
