I would stay away from England. A few years back they lost the cert. to do CDL testing and every student who went though there with in the last year had to go back and get re-tested. To start with you just have to take what you can get and get your foot in the door. then after a year you can move on to something better. I would sujest going with Swift. Every one has to start some where and they are as good as anywhere. School is in Pheonix and they can get you home easy. The So. Cal yard is in Fontana. Then again I just found out they are on a hiring freeze. Times are tuff and getting into trucking right now is even harder.

They do the student thing as well as any one. Don't know if they have a So. Cla yard or not. Would think they do. Almost all companies that run out there have one. Would sujest May Trucking as well but they are not hiring out of CA. right now.

Any industry governed by so many laws is going to have companies and employees involved in any number of lawsuits at any given time. Pick one that suits you. If lawsuits are your pre-req you might be disappointed though. Maybe jumping on with an owner-operator (o/o) who has a secure lucrative fleet might be better. I know a few of these forums about trucking have o/o forums looking for people to stick on a truck. Options open, head up, and a determined forward momentum can't much go wrong though.
