If you go the company training route, you will usually need to work for that company for a year. At one time CRST had a 6 months obligation, but you will need to go otr and the pay won't be that great during the training period. You can check classified ads in your area for local and some of the trucking forums that have company listings for those carriers that might hire you. By the way, you didn't mention the speed that you received your tickets. That could really impact your ability to find a job. It would be much better and easier for you to find a position when those speeding tickets drop off your mvr. Most insurance companies and drivers don't go back longer than 3 years.

While that should be the case, there have been thread from new drivers that had DAC issues as a result of leaving a company before completing their obligation as a result of company training. While I agree it should not be a DAC reportable situation, it doesn't mean that it wouldn't be reported, especially by some of these bottom feeders. As a new driver, I wouldn't want to take that chance..............

If you are able to get a CDL and you follow through, it will take time to get to where you are making the big bucks. I do know that yellow/abf take you with as little as one year OTR experience and being a union company the pay scale rises failry quickly.
