i passed got my cdl class A

Congratulations! I just got my CDL's this past weekend myself. Good luck in finding a good fit on a job for you.

Welcome to the world of pain. Now call the feds and get your ankle braclet. They will activate it for you and it will tell you when to drive, sleep, eat, how many hours to sleep, what roads you can drive on, tell you how much the tolls are, how much they want for IFTA, how much your apporition tags are, they will give you a list of the 67,000 rules and regulations (no joke on that one).
Then they will check you coming into out of every state as well as others in the middle of the state.
Also they will at times pull you over just to make sure your keeping on top of your studying. You will also need to get your VERY USEFUL TWIC CARD and one for every port.
Now after you have done all this you will get to go meet your company (kinda like big brothers NANNY.) Then you get to meet all the other drivers at the truckstops who are going to be so glad your pulling the freight along with them TRUST ME YALL WILL BE SINGING KUMBAYA MY LORD at these really cool campfires behind the truckstops in no time the teamwork will amaze you.
And don't even worry about the money holy### you'll be sitting next to Donald Trump kicking butt in futures market within a year. Most guys pull in about 350 the first week and then for the whole first couple years. You can either SWIFTLY move to the top or just become SIR TRUCKER KNIGHT. Either way your a shooting star. Go ahead and get a house on the beach and a downtown penthouse most companies will send a limo out to the terminal and give you a ride uptown. When you need sometime off you'll only be about 1000 miles from home with a dispatcher who all of a sudden cant understand what your saying.
As for you wife or girlfriend she will understand that you have to be gone and you will (eventually) understand why she has to go see JOEY so often.
I TRUELY HOPE THIS HELPS SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE SUCH A BAD VIEW OF TRUCKING BEFORE THEY GET HERE.
Honestly good luck man. I made two of these things up.
