That is what I am, I'm new to field and don't claim anything else. I was driving Cdl B up in Canada, not CDL A.

Now prove me wrong and scan your written proof and show it to me. Or you can simply tell the truth here.
As a driver, you'll have good times and bad times. We all have them, although, some of don't have to lie
You should have got a job with Sygma, they only charge $50 a week for 2 years for their schooling.

tucker, my schooling was free due a grant I received from my local careerlink job center. So I have no obligation to go anywhere or stay with anyone. In addition, everyone has to go through 8 weeks training on the road, plus one week in class upgrade. Doesn't matter if your experienced or not, that's how they do their training (shaffer/Crete that is).
I was was with Sygma for a short period of time. Worked one day a week, but the way they do things at the terminal I was at was not right. So when I finished school I took the offer from shaffer.
Now, getting down to he matter of me proving my pay. Personally, I don't feel I need to prove anything to you. The person that could possible back up my statement would be RunningBear. He went to the same school as me, and was there when the recruiter came in to the school.
I'm not here to cause any problems with anyone, the idea of this thread was to get an idea of what stuff I need to get for my own truck, once I'm done training. Could we please move back to that?hal380 Thanks this. -
Well recruiters might be desperate these days.. anything is possible.
I can say I came to Crete with 7 months experience with a gap of employment of less than a week between trucking jobs and they had me with a trainer for 3 1/2 weeks.
Wasn't really training.. more like teaming and trainer wanting as many miles as possible lol. -
That is true Feightwipper, and I may be wrong about everyone needing to do the full 9 weeks training, but like you said it all depends on the recruiters and how desperate they are.
-
I suppose the recruiter said you'd average 2,500 miles.
but what's the guarantee??
If you only get 1,800 miles one week, and you are guanteed 2,500, they're not just going to pay you 700 miles, are they? -
I had a friend who worked there. Don't think they guaranteed 2500 miles but that's what he got. I think his pay was minimum at $.037 He had 20 years experience but was a job hopper. His pay would have been much higher if his work history was stable. This was years ago though. He said it was nearly 100% drop and hook. He had some problems with his paycheck nearly every week he said. I can believe the 50 cents. Lots of companies are paying that these days. We just got bumped up to $.59 starting January. Our stay out all week drivers are gonna get $.60 cpm
