I Phone as a hot spot?

Mine is through Sprint but we have to pay extra to use the iphone as a hotspot. To set it up go to your settings then choose cellular. It has the option there to set it up as a personal hotspot.

 

And if you don't want to pay extra pretty sure you're gonna have to Jailbreak it.

 

Even if you jailbreak the iPhone and enable Wifi tethering, you are still limited to the amount of data allowed on your plan for your iPhone if it is not already unlimited.

With Sprint you pay basically for another data plan. Either a 2 or 10G limit but the 10G is another $50 a mth. Just throwing this in for anyone on Sprint who may be curious

 

PDAnet is the app I use for android that turns my phone into a hotspot -- I imagine there is an iphone version.

 

I have an IPhone on Verizon. If I want to use it as a hotspot, I simply turn on the "Personal Hotspot" feature in settings. I suppose you have to be on Verizon or ATT to have this built in??? But data blocks are costly per gigabyte on either of those networks BUT overage rates are no more [per gig block] than inclusive rates.

 

Get a droid you hit 1 button on phone and can connect to whatever.
