I promise I won't be any of these three drivers

My POS dash camera never records the good stuff.

I'm westbound on I-10 in between Pensacola and Mobile (pronounced moe-beal). A conestoga was trying to pass a dry van. The conestoga was governed at 65.0 mph. The dry van was governed at 64.8 mph. After a dozen of four-wheelers stack up behind him with me number 12, the conestoga wouldn't give it up, and the dry van would yield an inch.

This went on for a very long time. The RNA (redneck a@@hole) driving the Ram pickup with a cargo trailer went stupid and passed in front of the dry van as soon as he had 3 inches of space, thinking he was going to squeak around the connie. After a few mile markers, the RNA bullied his way back into the left lane, still behind the conestoga.

At this point, I backed off a considerable distance and got into the right lane, expecting a multi-vehicle pile up.

I promise that I won't try to pass a semi that is governed 0.2 mph slower than me. I will yield a mph or two to the dumba@@ who is trying to pass me with his 0.2 mph faster truck. I won't risk life and limb as a four-wheeler trying to gain 2 minutes toward my destination.

BTW, I was driving my GMC Sierra. I have my CDL, but an not technically a truck driver yet. I finished up my last kitchen remodel today. Will be heading over to Jacksonville, FL, in a couple of weeks to start with Cypress Truck Lines.

Anyone need an awesome set of tools?

    Here is my promise.

I never will work for a company stupid enough to interfere with legal speed limits with governed trucks.

    Hows that?

Yeah it is quite annoying. Wish highway patrol would start enforcing those rolling roadblocks

On this same interstate, I was hauling my 12' cargo trailer on my way to Fairhope, AL, to do my last cabinet job. I moved over to the left lane to let this car merge. She immediately matched my speed, trapping me in the left lane (I won't go over 65 mph with these cheap Chinese trailer tires that are bombs waiting to explode). After less than a minute, I put on my right signal and started slowing down to give it up. The old hag was clueless.

A@@hole behind me in a Japanese two-seater passes me on the right the slips in front of me with--I'm not exaggerating--inches between my front bumper and his car. I braced for his self-induced PIT maneuver.

    Cra---ray---zee!

Had the same happen to me yesterday, but is was 2 FedEx trucks pulling doubles. After a few miles & cars stacked up, I got on the radio & told the to sh&t or get off the pot.

The guy in the right lane had a radio & backed off so the idiot trying to pass did.

I think that is why a lot of guys don.t have radios bc they don't want to get called out all the time, n but if they wouldn't do dumb stuff everything would just be just fine. lol

Good for you. Not an option for new drivers.

Edit: Reads like I'm being a smart@ss. Don't mean it that way. ;)
