this industry sure does make a guy good at jumping thru hoops. thats for sure.... if i can give any advice to that statement, is that the hoop jumping never ends the further you go.. they just get smaller and more challenging and some are even lit on fire.

@Moose1958 I 100% agree with you that this is valuable advice. However, many companies now use the Driver Pulse Tenstreet app for hiring, and often require applicants to provide their vital information before any meaningful conversations can take place.

In my case, I will need to provide my social security number, driver's license number, address, and date of birth to any company that I apply to through the Driver Pulse Tenstreet app.

I am making efforts to get out of trucking. Trucking is a joke.

You do realize that many companies outside of trucking ask for some of the same info on apps…

Yes, and most of those companies can't send in a chain of custody form marked refused to test to an MRO that can then force you to either quit trucking or hire a SAP.

Yes, I agree. The best overall solution to this problem is to take the dang drug test. It normally takes about 30 minutes and in some cases can be done right at the terminal.

Well sending in that form when when someone decides to not work for them and therfore doesn’t take a pre employment drug screen is illegal..deciding to pass on job the law says pre employment drugs screens are not covered by refusals..i posted the regulations regarding that and it’s very clear.

NO, it's not illegal. In fact, there is nothing in 49CFR that backs up that position. Here is the problem, it is a grey area and the FMCSA backs up the carriers. Most as I said earlier won't do it. I would never do it. The problem is some will do it. Just as they put crap on the DACs. I was just speaking a while back to a young man that was on the terminal property. The carrier handed him a cup and he refused. They sent in the form marked refused. There are so many different situations when it comes to pre-employment.

How is fraud not illegal? Because that's exactly what sending in fraudulent paperwork is.
Just because it's not specifically mentioned in the fmsca regs doesn't mean it's legal.
That said I do agree there is a difference in something being illegal or not vs. being enforced or not.

    Coover Thanks this.
