Oh, sorry about that. I really should read the rules at some point.

Hey Hunter, no you have to have four months experience. Go to another company and switch up. I think they are a great company. Only been with them a month and a half and they get me home every weekend (if that's what you want) and they made sure I got home for Christmas. They sent me home empty cause there were no loads yesterday morning. I'm off all weekend although I'll be in Ga on New Years. Got home on Thanksgiving too. The daily pay works out really well. Can't complain about them at all. At least not yet.

Also, Lebec is 14 miles less 1-way than Wheeler Ridge (Ikea)! So round trip Long Beach to Lebec is 96 paid miles (or 192 miles round trip paid # .42/mile), but actual drive is 220 miles round trip!. And....that is all L.A. and Grapevine driving---you can have it!!

From what I hear they do not get paid by the mile for those runs. A friend of mine was doing that turn for $100 did 2 turns one day at 440 miles that would be almost $.46 a mile even at 220 instead of 192.

I would do a drop & hook like that over sitting around at S&R's any day. Traffic does not bother me but you can run those loads around the times when it is.

'Running containers' has it's problems too: looking for load at port, load may not have wheels under, flat tires on wheels, container may be overweight, sometimes drop space at Ikea no room, ....etc.

    Again...you can have it!:yes2557:

Does Knight have a pre-work pyhsical screening process similiar to Schneider National during it's hiring orientation? Seems there are many good comments here about knight.

Yes. It is more stringent than the DOT physical you get at your local clinic.

Yeah they have the physical. I didn't think it was that hard, but will get
    your heart pumped a little.

Knights little brother is Knight Refrigerated. There only about 1/10 the size of Knight with 600 drivers and 5 terminals. I run out of idaho Falls Id and I love it. Been running for them for about a 2 months now. I told them I didn't want to go east of Ohio and I have never been offerd a load east of IN. I have never been "Talked into" doing anything I didn't or couldn't do. They ask I say no and thats it. Was in Wis. a couple of weeks ago. After del was sent a pre-plan to p/u a dry load 75 miles away and take it 125 miles in to Ill. I called up my DM and asked what this was and he said he had already taken care of it. The planner said that it didn't make him happy. My Dm told him that he's not there to "make him happy" he's there to make ME happy. And I don't do anything less then 500 miles. I have a brand new VN 670. I run 6 weeks on 1 week off. No one screws with my truck when I'm off. I plan my own routs, I plan my own fuel stops. I don't do the per-deim thing and no one says a word to me about it. I'm sure sooner or latter some one will do something to piss me off. But at this time. no complaints. :biggrin_255:
