And, old six pack, by meaning well, is over-simpifying the situation as well. What he said doesn't ALWAYS apply! So what he said, is well said to a point. And that's it in the real world! I know, logsrus, you're trying to help, and we all appreciate that. But in the real world of trucking, things just don't always work out as you've PLANNED.

Just plan better. It's easy from the desk at the cubicle...:biggrin_2559: you have 2 extra hours if caught in traffic. Run out of hours 10 miles from a truck stop then have your truck towed there... see how easy it is?:biggrin_2559:

i'VE SAID IT BEFORE,i'LL SAY IT AGAIN My company is a small one. The owner and his wife are former team drivers,he still drives. We are told from day one 'RUN LEGAL' we log 3mph below the limit. We log it like we run it...legal. We have crews waiting at unload ,if we are going to be late we call and reschedule. I've done this a couple of times for weather and breakdowns and the customer has always told me they would rather have their freight in one piece and late than have to clean it up off the road. even had one tell me to do whatever I needed to to be safe. :biggrin_25522:
