I do both, the position is called line service technician you can look it up on YouTube, I do ramp agent stuff and operate fuel trucks. Pay is really terrible for what we do but most importantly, I’m not enjoying it, only when I’m in the truck do I enjoy it but 15$ an hour biweekly pay is horrible.

Same here, except total time served is 32 yrs. 21 happy yrs. I can’t complain, 2/3 happiness along with 1/3 misery still ain’t bad. I think I’ll hang onto her for now, no guarantees though, Lol.

Local fuel delivery might be something to consider. I try to avoid jobs that include possible explosions and fire. Gasoline is very volatile compared to Jet fuel. If I remember Jet fuel has a higher flash point than diesel. Fuel delivery pays good. Night work mostly. Usually hourly. $30+ per hr. from what I hear. Most seem to like it.

Just get your CDL. Doesn’t take long at all. Don’t need a perfect plan. Lots of work in Trucking. Hourly pay may not increase much, first year or two. Gross pay probably could easily double working overtime. My first year was $42000 @ $8.00 an hr. Compared to $20,000 @ $8.75 an hr. at my previous job. Best part is having more opportunities, and never being out of a job more than one day. Unless by choice.

yeah at the operation I work at we get fuel drops weekly, truckers hauling fuel to different airports, home daily from what I’ve noticed. I’ve talked to one of them before and he loves the job. They operate out of Port Everglades, they’re hiring too.

I think it's nearly 80% drop out in the first year.
