Key words "SMALL TOWN".....rest assured, in small towns the cops, judges, and local population will ALWAYS (from some of my own experince) win. Best thing if you want to keep fighting ticket is to get a trial by jury and keep appealing to get a high enough court that gets you of "small town" justice system.
Good Luck

To Dalejr8fan 1 of 2 things is possible. First someone's name is really close to yours or the same and DAC tranposed a letter or two. Second and more importantly someone has stolen your Identiy. I strongly suggest you check it out. TransAm should'nt have a DAC report done if you didn't apply to drive for them.

I agree. Most citations are written on what the cop sees, not what x motorist says unless there is more then 1 witness.
It all boils down to quanity. Fill out as many applications as you can and go door to door in any industrial area if you have to, and you will get hired by someone. -

Your Auto and CMV record are no longer seperated. Whatever happens in a car can disqualify you for driving a CV.
Trucking company's get DAC report whether you have, or have not driven a CV, and will not just take your word for it. -
idk some cops are fairly bright i had a front tire lock up on my personal pickup last year coming to stop b/c of gravel and dust on the road and the cop turned on his lights and started threatening me with a wreckless driving charge b/c i was trying to do a burnout ......with the front tire.... of a pickup... yeah he wasnt the brightest crayon in the box but i didnt argue much and he gave me a careless driving ticket for it b/c he had let me off of a few nderage drinking violations.

mabey that cop was a reject from trucking and he was going to get even by giving all truckers a ticket.

A cop pulled me over for speeding a long time ago in Michigan. He asked me for my license, then asked me how tall i was. I said, "Five-nine". He responded, "then why does your license say you're six foot nine?" with a sneer. I asked to see it, and under height was, (69"). I told him," Ah... I think that's sixty-nine inches?" He looked at it again and said he'd be right back. When he returned, he gave me my license back, and warned me to slow down. Looking back, I think this might have been his "first ticket". More ha-ha's on new thread to follow.

Bigblu is right. Trucking Companies run a check on your driving record for mainly insurance reasons, regardless if they are self insured or not. Also a speeding ticket of 15MPH or more is considered reckless driving. Here in Calif. tickets are kept on record for 7 years. DUI's are a big nono and many companies will not hire if its been less than 5 years old if at all.
