hello everyone, I had a question about converting the I Shift to a regular manual. Is there anyway to swap it out add a pedal and make it a manual?

Swap out the tranny...
Add a pedle...
And a stick?
Oh well... To each their own...
Good Luck -
So just driving it in manual mode does work eh?
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
I didnt mean thats all you gotta do. Im sure there is a whole lot to it. I know the Eaton Ultrashift can be done, how about I Shift?

The Eaton is basically a manual tranny with an x y shifter and computers bolted on. An iShift was never based on a manual, I believe your only option would be to remove it entirely and install a manual transmission.

Can it be done........Sure.
But why would you want to throw money away? You would be better off selling or trading it in.KB3MMX and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
Thats what I wanted to know.. Can it be done. My only fear is it tanking on me and Iv heard they are so expensive. Believe me, I love the transmission, but I definatly do not want to drop 15k for a new one

The I Shift is an automated manual transmission.
As far as taking it out and replacing it with a manual, I'd say you will be much further ahead to buy a truck with a manual transmission. Keep in mind the ECU for the transmission trumps the ECU for the engine. That is a can of worms I wouldn't want to open.
