RollingThunder, you may have changed my mind about considering CR England as an employer. I cannot afford to waste any time with a company that will not help me take care of my family.. Thanks!

It took me a week to shift good enough in training to be able to do 1-8 without more then a few scratches. Sheesh it took me 2 weeks to master starting from a stop. In fact I failed my first road test because I stalled out from a stop. Didn't put it in 1st before I started.
    Hmm...

I think you just recruited me to be a taxi driver lol.

Only the lazy truckers become trainers and a real trucker kind of looks down on them. Some do training for the extra $$$. With CRE I would expect that they owe CRE money on the backend of the Fleace = they are trapped!! Unhappy drivers = unhappy trainers.

Thank you for this thread and my condolences for your experiences-
I was considering CR England before this.... thinking that I could just tough it out... but these stories go far beyond what I would want to be around for a few months. Hope they are shut down.
My prayers also to the employees, imagine what it must feel like inside to make a person go insane on another, regularly, as part of their job??

Thanks so much for sharing!! You saved me from it.

Thx for advising us on England. I went to their facility about 7 years ago to check it out as I was considering applying there. I found the staff in the terminal to be rude and short with the drivers, and morale seemed low everywhere, especially out in the truck shop; so I did not apply. I have worked for 4 companies, with each change I was hoping to find a home. I have come to the conclusion that they are all snakes in the grass, and I am thinking that with the economy down that trucking will get worse. The happy part of your story is that you are leaving trucking for good. Do keep on spreading the word on England because you write and relate very well and the word needs to be spread.

I just started with CRE and I'm a company driver. Did I make a mistake coming here? Everything seems fine so far but I'm actually fighting an illness and need to see a doctor and they don't seem keen on letting me go home to get medical attention. I'm only 2.5 hrs away from home. I don't see what the big deal is. Their a family owned business, but I guess it needs to happen in the "England" family for it to be ok'd. Did I make a mistake?

C.R. England Sucks-- There drivers are horrible, they have no respect for the other drivers on the road. In the three years of driving so far I have only had two non-preventables, and that was in truckstops, having, on two different occasions, a England driver hit me while I was taking my break- I dont know maybe I have bad luck- I think any company that forces a driver to do something they dont want to do, such as team, or lease, is not worth working for-I'm sure somewhere out her ein the country there is some great England drivers, but would some one point me in the right direction-
