I Should have listened: (CR ENGLAND!!!!)

I am so glad I found this board. I was about this close to going to CRE. As it turns out, another company called me and I start the training soon. I have drove before but not an 18 wheeler. I left my job today and I am looking forward to starting something I enjoy. I know it's going to be tough(financially & physically) at first but hopefully in a year I can either get another trucking job after I get my feet wet or continue working for the company. Thanks to all who posted about this company.

That guy sound like the same ####### I had up at Burns Harbor named Bill. This guy did not have a sense of humor at all. Some of the instructors were nice but this guy was an horse's ### from the word go.

I had arrived in Burns Harbor the night before and when I showed up with all my luggage...he told me that I was not to be there. I ended up staying at the school all day b/c the secretaries in the office would arrange transportation for me to go to the hotel to get rest.

So..before warned...if Bill is still there....give him the worse go to #### look and stand up for what is right.

 

How the #### did you become a company driver? I was told that there was only team company drivers and not solo. I feel sorry for you at this point. It will be the biggest mistake that you will ever make driving for England.

 

ya know there rolling thunder ur not the first one that heard that the instructors did that to they should really be check to see how they treat there students as well as there drivers i do agree with you

I give you credit for guts ... Going to truck driving and giving up your home time and family if I started today I would not give up a job that paid like yours did for cr but everyone of us has to make their own choices ... I did I chose to obey the law and got fired for It so please think about it and if trucking is in your blood then come back to it ...If it is not then be safe and be well..

 

Well I've left CRE. Got with TMC and I start Monday training. He's what happened at CRE.
Since being on my own having to wait for my team partner to finish phase 2 training I was running solo. I was pulled off of 4 loads due to the fact that only teams would be able to run them. I just didnt have the hours. Well I ended up taking a stop sign out when I was in Bathesda, MD so I was rerouted to SLC for a saftey Eval. When I got there I had to do a workbook and a road eval with the ***********. Well I failed with wolf cause he put me in an old ### freightliner that I was not used to at all. He recommended me to be terminated cause he said I was a danger on the road. Well marie h decided to give me a second chance so I was tested again the following day and passed with a 92%. (To go off subject abit I heard that just recently wolf got fired for all of the complaints against him, if anyone can verify that please do.) well my DM got me a load going home and I was going to leave that night. I was all set to leave and it happened, I broke my glasses and I don't have a spare. I can't see without them. Well I went right up to my DM and told him what had happened and he said "well what are you going to do about it." I had no money what so ever so I ask to see if he could get me a ride home back to ohio with another driver and he said he would see what he could do, mind you this is friday morning, I had no food, no money cause I need to get home to restock the truck. Well at about 3:45pm I heard nothing from him, so I went up to see him and he wasn't at his desk, I talk to the woman sitting next to him and she said that he left for the day. Well I brought her up to speed and she said I'd pry have to sit all weekend and wait till monday. I called the wife and told her, she about went atomic and we scraped money we didn't have for me to come home by a bus on. I cleaned my truck out cause I knew they could sit on it, being a company truck and all, so I came home to get new glasses. Well I got my glasses and gave my DM a call to let him know that Im ready to go and I got his answering machine. Well 2 calls a day and still not able to speak to him I called the DM supervisor and he told me that he would make sure that my DM got my message and he would call me right back. I got home on the 22nd of june and I talk to the DM supervisor on the 28th of june and still no call, so I called and left him a message that I'm not returning, I called the same day that TMC called me back to tell me I've been approved to drive for them. I had high hopes for CRE and this is how it went. I talk to my trainer the other day and he said that since I pissed off my DM and I left on a bus to come home that's why he was doing this. He wanted me to quit. So I'm going with another company now so I hope all goes well. Will give you an update from TMC. Happy 4th of July everyone.
