RR..and ALL other AVRT drivers....DO NOT take 127 north out of Crossville....from Jamestown to Brydstown,,,it is a narrow snake trail, and nothing more than a accident waiting to happen...127 from Crossville south to Dunlap is good to go!

When I went to Averitt orientation in '07 I went that way by car just to take a stroll up memory lane. Even in my Mustang I was in first gear on the hairpins. The highlight of my trip was when I got to the top and met a US XPRESS truck starting down with a very nervous driver behind the wheel. I imagine he was listening to his GPS and had reached the point of no turning around.bigmikectn Thanks this. -
I drove it one time after my trainer told me it was a short cut. I was freshly solo at the time. Never again. After I got back on the big road I called, my buddy and former trainer and used words that cannot be repeated in polite company. He laughed...said even though it was tough to drive I put another W on the score card. That stretch of pig trail is enough to make a preacher cuss.
MUSTANGGT Thanks this. -
I took it last week, since I had time to kill...From the TN border at 111 south to Crossville......almost had a head on with a LOST Scheinder driver....then a couple of curves later a US Express dummy pulling a Family Dollar trl almost side swiped me....I closed my eyes....when I opened them ...I missed the guard rail with a new trl by INCHES, along a clearance of INCHES with my mirror.....when I mentioned it over the CB...I got @#$#%^&*((&^^%$$# Averitt driver in return....I sort of wish the effin jerk would of hit me, so I would have had the pleasure of CHOKING THE VERY LIFE OUT OF THE PUNK!

I'm going to orientation Sun night for the Smyrna, TN dedicated account. My background, driving record, work history, etc have already been cleared, but there is still one thing that concerns me. My neck width is right at 17" so I'm sure they are going to recommend the sleep test. Do they let you wait til your insurance kicks in or do you have to take the test before you start working. I really don't have the money to pay out of pocket for the test atm. This is a great opportunity just 15 minutes from my house and I really want everything to work out. I've tried to read most of this thread but it's been going on forever 😆 so forgive me if this had already been answered.

They will wait until insurance kicks in I believe , and it just depends my neck is right at 17 but they look at the rest of your body also. I haven't heard anybody saying they had to come out of pocket up front.
