Thanks Mustang,Will have to see how the economy is going in a couple of years when I start. I am in Alabama and see a lot of Averitt Express here so hopefully that will help. Have a good one!
MUSTANGGT Thanks this. -

Enjoyed a 3 day weekend for the most part. Did my FM a favor and finished off a local delivery on Saturday. $25 for 20 minutes of work so NO complaints. Then started off the week finishing off a load I picked up at our Chattanooga SC and am taking to Dallas, TX. Will deliver it tomorrow.
If you see the June issue of truckjobseekers.com magazine pick one up. My return to trucking story is part of Averitt's ad. My grandson got a pretty big kick out of it for sure. -
Finished off a load to one of the most disorganized DC's I have ever been to. Took them 3 hours to decide where I should drop a loaded trailer and then they inform me they have no empties for me. Nice. Thankfully I got permission to bobtail to our Dallas yard to pick up an empty. Now I am on my break but was handed a hot load that leaves out early tomorrow. Glad Averitt is trusting me with some loads like this. They know I will drive and not goof around.
Today is my 6 month mark with Averitt Express and I could not be happier. To the person who PM'd me and accused me of being a recruiter...not so much. I am just a regional driver for a company that has showed me everything they promised and more. If your company lies to you and treats you like crap and has made you cynical, I hate it for you dude. -
Lol he must have been a Swift driver too

Yeah, I have been following your posts on here and almost have my year with Swift in. i'm going to try to get on with averitt hauling Nissan parts out of Smyrna. I live right between Nashville and Cookeville and if they take me i'm moving to the Smyrna area.

I made my four stops today. Three of them in the back of very tight strip malls. The second one...OMG. Some idiot planners put a power line pole in the middle of the turn to the back of the complex. It took some gentle maneuvering to get by it and when I did you could barely see light between the trailer and the pole. UGH. More good experience however. After that I had to go to the TA and have them replace the dolly handle on the trailer. When I picked up this load from the DC it was missing. I was able to get under the trailer and crank it up by hand, but that took awhile.
Now parked and ready for some rest, hoping for an early dispatch in the direction of home tomorrow. We shall see. As always I will take whatever I get no matter what. I am out here to accumulate miles after all. That's what feeds the fam.The Challenger Thanks this.
