I Start With Averitt in January 2012

Like you i had a bad expierance at another company. while i was out on the road then i got to talk to some averitt drivers and they all seemed to like it. at that time they were not hiring at all. I was thrilled when i learned they were offering a refresher.

how well are the trucks equipt. i know there is a apu what about a inverter, does the radio have sirius or a ipod hookup?

 

All the APU trucks have 1500 watt inverter. I know some of the radios have ipod plug but couldn't swear they all do.
The new style quallcoms have touch screen and built in GPS.

 

I actually have an interview tomorrow at the Montgomery terminal, hoping to jump on board this will be my first driving job. Averitt has really worked with me verifying my military driving experience and trying to get me into the refresher course. I really am looking forward to this!

 

Welcome aboard. I hope it works out for you. You are in a good spot to get home from the Carolinas. We get a ton of Standard Textile loads from North Charleston SC to Enterprise and outbound loads from Enterprise to various locations.

 

What industries do yall serve here, I see a ton of day cabs running around town! The interview went smooth I'd say. Just awaiting the go ahead to come to Tennessee!

 

The day cabs are from the LTL side delivering small shipments to just about any type of business. Those guys could have twenty stops a day.
I really don't know what TL (truckload) accounts are in that area aside from Standard Textile.

I got called just a few minutes after interview but don't know if it's still that quick.

 

Okay I gotcha that plant is right off the back side of 84, yep they said today on the phone call but I'd expect tmrw.
