LOL...sorry about that. After driving 632 miles in around 12 hours I am blurry eyed. Plus my dyslexia is probably kicking in.

Btw, congrats on the Titans today. I'm watching ATL hoping they hang on to a nice lead. -
Big Mike, Mustang, Corysti,
Just completed reading all 36 pages of this thread and wanted to thank you guys for posting the good, bad and the ugly.
I'm not far off from one of the SC's here in NC and may make the jump based on the info you all have provided.
Stay safe out there.MUSTANGGT Thanks this. -
Do you still have to go with a trainer even you meant the minimal requirements?

Mustang. I have an enterview today with Averitt but I'm still worried about several things. Could you answer a couple of questions for me? I started a thread but have not had any luck with responses. You think you could try and answer them for me?
Information from North Carolina Averitt drivers?
I am currently in talks with Averitt. I would be running truckload out of Fayetteville NC. Is there any drivers that run out of NC terminals that can answer a few questions?
How many miles are you currently averaging?
Does Averitt run you to The North East all week?
Is Averitt a good company?
What's the negatives about this company?
Does Averitt treat drivers like they are in the military?
Are Averitt's trucks in good condition or worn out?
Is Averitt ALL IN YOUR BUSINESS every time you pull into a terminal?
I fear this company is more like a office job than a trucking job. Is this true? -
Being on I-95, I would guess a Fayetteville driver would see more east coast than say a Memphis driver. You would probably see a lot of FL. Everybody runs a region that gets them home every weekend. I am out of GA and see NJ and PA occasionally but not on a regular basis by any means.
You can come and go through any yard without being bothered. Fuel, sleep, shower and do as you please. Its not like some companies that have some mandatory procedures to follow when you hit a yard.
Even though we have the uniforms, its far from a military atmosphere. With just a few exceptions, everyone I have dealt with throughout the company has been courteous and helpful for the most part. But you can find a grouch anywhere if you look hard enough.
Lately my miles have dropped to around 190-2000. Earlier this year I was around 2300-2600. Like anywhere else it comes and goes and varies by region.
Most trucks are in good shape and most are less than three years old.
As far as, all in your business, once you get dispatched you won't hear from anybody unless you don't show up when you were supposed to. They trust you to do your job. -
Thanks so much for taking time to answer my questions. With all your years driving do you like or dislike the automatic trans Averitt runs?
