Cory,
1. Do you know the number of miles per week that they are averaging?
2. What areas do the mainly go?
3. Is there a particular customer/ account that is a big part of their freight?
4.What kind of truck have you seen them mostly drive?
Thanks for your help. -
This has been a good week for being a short one. Left out Monday morning from Chattanooga to Vance, AL. Picked up in Birmingham and ran to our Knoxville yard. Then ran the day shuttle from Knoxville to Jackson, MS. Got a preplan for Graphic Packaging in West Monroe, LA which I will take home tomorrow for my Thanksgiving weekend. Will finish it off to Charlotte, NC for a Monday morning delivery. With the two days of holiday miles it ended up around 2200 miles for 3 days work.
I hope you all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving weekend. -
I had a really good last 7 days with them. I left out last Wednesday evening and ran through the weekend until yesterday for a total of just under 3700 miles. From Friday through Sunday ran some really long ltl loads that were drop and hook. Wish that would happen every week.

Hey Mike hope your having a good thanksgiving. I have got two more weeks with my trainer, alot to take in but he says I will be fine. Averitt seems to follow through with everything they tell you. I am so glad i found your thread, if not I would have probably gone to a mega carrier and been miserable. Between your thread and the promptness of the averitt recruiters I am very glad to be where I am , hopefully we will run into eachother at fulton not too far down the road. Be safe
bigmikectn Thanks this. -
Here you go
1. Do you know the number of miles per week that they are averaging? 2200-2800 weekly at the moment
2. What areas do the mainly go? They service most the same areas as the van but they like to run north a lot
3. Is there a particular customer/ account that is a big part of their freight? Not that I know of...But if I had to guess probably a steel company.
4.What kind of truck have you seen them mostly drive? They drive the same trucks as the truckload division.
Thanks for your help. -
I loaded Friday morning at Dickson TN and took it to NOR, then went home.Last edited: Nov 23, 2012
