I decided to stay out this past weekend and ran a Amarillo - Roanoke load that delivered on Monday morning. Then picked up a load in Rocky Mount and got a call from the FM saying that my truck had a recall and that I needed to get it fixed in Birmingham. Blah!

I've called you a few times to see how things were going and you never did answer so I figured you weren't out on the road yet.

I am on the road...if you call it that. LOL. Here it is Wednesday morning and I have about 350 miles. The times you called I was asleep. I've been running early and shutting down early so far. I will call you today sometime.

Sitting here at our Norcross yard. I had to finish of a Houston to Norcross LTL that another driver had to drop at Fulton because of his hours. I also gave a ride to another driver who needed to pick up a truck here at NOR. I've been here about 14 hours and still no swing door trailers available. I got up under a roll-up just so I would have one. Rough weather headed to this area today. Be safe wherever you are.

I went into work later than normal because i've been covering a shuttle shift for another guy that's on vacation this week. I got there and they told me that a truckload was taking the load so they gave me a Local customs load to take to a dedicated customer. I got to drive a nice(not) White dollar general truck....Only good thing about it was the fact it has a 10 speed in that sleeper unit.

Yesterday was a tough day in Georgia. Tornadoes, strong winds, heavy HEAVY rain. I picked up in Marblehill, GA and while being loaded tornado sirens started going off. I was asked to join them inside in their evacuation area. Then the rains started. I ended up shutting down at a Love's and was thankful to find a place to park. Covering about 120 miles took just over 4.5 hours. Much nicer weather today. Delivered in Sumter, SC and was given a load picking up less than 2 miles from where I delivered headed close to home in Ooltewah, TN. Then got another preplan to finish off a load. I'll pick it up at the Chattanooga yard and take it to Villa Rica GA. Not a great week but MUCH better than last week.
