I have no netting in the upper bunk. I'm going to store the microwave in the space for the fridge then put it in the cubby behind the driver seat for use. Tv will go on the bunk face down. Had hoped to get the truck inspected today so I could leave tomorrow. Got a code thrown for some sort of DEF temp sensor. Didn't get the truck back until this evening. Finished my setup. Inspection tomorrow, and make sure the paperwork is good to go.

I hope that the drivers are ok.

I don't use the netting. I use a bungy type adjustable strap that I tightened the microwave down with. The strap wraps all the way around the upper bunk and my microwave never moves. I put an old towel inside so the glass plate inside doesn't bounce around.

I have a flat screen in the area for the TV and I found a small adjustable curtain rod that I put in front of the top of the flat screen that keeps it from moving around. It works pretty well.

Got a good run today. Picked up in Carlisle, PA and headed to Lexington, KY. About 630 miles. Not gonna complain. I may end up busting 2000-2200 miles this week if they keep me running like this.

Stayed at the petro in Carlisle. Pretty neat setup. I leave out tomorrow, finally got the truck and paperwork squared away. Taking the hazmat when I come in. My tv would be too large to for the curtain rod thing. It actually fits in the hole sideways. BUT I don't want to kill it with vibration so it is going to lay on the sleeping bag in transit.

Lightning, in my case I showed up and did a road test. 45 degree back into a dock, some highway, freeway and city driving. About 40 minutes in all. That was on a Sunday afternoon. Then off to the hotel. The three days will keep you busy and they will feed you well. It's get fit for uniforms, physical, pee test, find out about benefits, safety, computer training, etc etc. Your basic orientation. The hotel is nice and you get a free breakfast buffet each day. Leave it to a fat guy to remember more about the food than the orientation content. Did I mention the food is good? On Wednesday you'll meet your fleet manager and have lunch with him/her. Get to know them and ask as many questions as you can think of. The great thing about Averitt, unless you pee a bad test and you pass the driving test you are hired. None of this being pulled out on the third day because they finally go around to checking your background, job history or whatever and then you find out you don't have a job.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Shut down last night at a rest area in Hebron, Ohio. As I am doing my post trip I see about 5 cop cars surrounding a parked truck about 50 yards from where I was parked. Then as I get back in the cab a life flight helicopter lands in the rest area parking lot about 20 yards from the truck. I don't know what happened to the driver but they air lifted him to a hospital. I have seen more accidents and crap like that this week. Two truck crashes today. A Cal Ark truck was jack knifed on I-71 just east of Cincinnati and as I was on my way to the consignee this evening in Lebanon, TN there was a truck in the woods off of I-40 east. It was in terrible shape. Be safe.

Mike is right on the dot Lightning :)

Prostar is nice but sadly this truck has like 700k and filthy. I'm allergic of smoke and this truck is an ashtray so it will take me the entire weekend to clean for sure.
