    Waylon Jennings gave up a seat for the Big Bopper.


    Stevie Ray.....I liked the music best in the small houses back in the mid & late 70s *nods* Before the drugs effected him so much he was such a beautiful person inside and out. *nods & remembers* A very sweet man.

    The drugs did a great many people in.

    And lilbit you're right he was clean & sober and very proud of it.

    The Drive By Truckers made a two CD tribute to the Lynerd Sknyrd band called " Southern Rock Opera" it has a song on it about the crash.

    Waylon who played for Holly gave up his seat to Ritchie Valens. Ritchie was sick and the bus didnt have heat.

    And to think Nana that isnt even a quarter of them. I didnt even touch the jazz legends like Miles Davis. And it is a very tragic shame.:biggrin_2558:
