either way, no matter what you do, dont give them the sob story you told here. no boss cares or wants to hear that. if you can even get an interview be straight and tell them you made a mistake, and if they want to hear your story they'll say "why'd you do it?" then you can tell them you were broke, had no money whatever. but dont have this attitude of "oh feel bad for me and hire me". walk in there with the attitude of "i f-ed up but im moving on with my life" someone out there will hire you if you push hard enough.

Actually Grandad likes to tell people that joke....and he likes the one where he claims I said the only way out of this marriage for him was a pine box.
