AS stated do NOT put any false or misleading information on your application. EVER! A "falsified" job application hit on the DAC is a guaranteed job killer.

If they ask for felonies and not a misdemeanor don't volunteer that information unless the question is "have you been "convicted" of any crime" and yes this question is out there so answer it carefully and truthfully.And when on a phone SHUT UP! Now I know you need a job. We all do but if you can hack the indentured servitude that these BFI's do to you then eat poop and do their walk in the dark and try to survive. But as I said you'll eat some of that nasty stuff in sandwich form and get bent by the best of them, but survive that and you'll have the CDL at whatever cost
and you just might get a better job!

I never in my life thought I'd ever tell someone to go that route as it is wrong on so many different levels but you by a bad choice of roads have kinda hurt your chances. You have no job where you can save money to go to a better school and the chance that you might not get a job if you did I wouldn't bet on. So your best or only route is a school sponsored driving school!

Just stay the hello away from those companies that I know you've read about in here that have been awarded the "Rollover BFI Award" for their fleece program for rookie drivers to get a Big Rig and pay to drive for way less than company or slave wages!

Just do NOT screw up! If you are NOT married right now keep your little buddy locked up so you don't HAVE to or pay child support! I'm dead serious! If you have a GF STAY SINGLE until you get away from the training and whatever the contract is! THEN decide to start another life!

My best advice to you is stay away from trucking! it's a complete cesspool for rookies! Especially those in your boat with no paddle on the creek of foul smelling waters!

IDK how this might work for you but Try the military. If they take you they won't screw you over by charging your butt for schooling, training or not paying you! Or just using you to haul freight for free! You'll get paid every month or 2 weeks even if you sit on your butt! Yes Drill instructors can be hard but you ain't sleeping with them in a rolling closet like you will be with some freakish control freak of a trainer! And look at it this way get truck training or the MOS for trucking there, do an easy 20 then retire at (you're 21) the ripe young age of 41 and then come into trucking using a great down payment or total payment you saved from your pay for that NEW truck you can call your own! Screw a L/P or company deal if they are still out there in 20 years! Heck robots might have taken over our job by then!

My definition of a BFI is one that hires trainees.

 

Well not that so much it's the ones that hires trainees and puts them into indentured servitude and hangs them out to dry just before training is done and charges them stupid money for something they charged the gooberment for in this " stimulus" money! It's already paid for but they're double dipping the pot and Odumba and his people let them!

It also describes these BFI fleece companies that think they're doing these people a favor by giving them a truck with 800,000 miles on it with torn out interiors and so filthy that only some forms of humans will live in it but a pig wouldn't, for embarrassing money! And these fools sign papers for this "honor?" Rico I thought was a law but these BFI's get away with legal robbery! But they did sign those papers with no legal help by their side thinking they will become business men with no training or experience and a pay check to paycheck life! To bad they don't have to have an IQ of better than 3 to be legal to sign those papers! The IQ of 3 meaning that lungs make air go in and air go out and the heart works and they don't pee in their pants! thats the only 3 working brain cells needed to sign those fleeces!And I hope I didn't hurt any feelings! ROFLMFAO!

It also defines these BFI's that treat the same people that are the sole source of income into the company like trash!

It would almost be like the perfect punishment - you stole something from a store so you're sentenced to OTR. For restitution you work for an OTR company so than can steal time, money, and overall well being from you. You've been sentenced to 18 months OTR - you'll never steal again..haha..
