    so he gets hurt in an accident, but goes back to work? (not very smart)

    and his case went on all these years?

    i hope his attorney got him workman's comp past the time frame when it ran out.

    (for instance, my state RI) one can be on comp 6 years, in MA, 5 years,

    but this also means he had to wait all these years for a cash settlement. which, as he aged, that payout gets smaller.
