He was looking at a cheapo $20 version compared to the $50 large format laminated one. I showed him the difference in content comparing the $20 one the real deal version. How it was missing about 20 pages of really important info like the state by state bridge laws etc.

I told him when I first started I got a current year on sale for $30. And last year's is always cheaper!

He thanked me and said he would keep an eye out for a good sale.

Well as they say, "don't break your arm patting yourself on the back now!" ;)

I remember my trainer giving me mine, it was the larger one, but not the super-duper blown up font one. It's nice.

Those large format laminated truckers atlas are much cheaper if you peel off the shoplifting security tag.

Bah Ha Ha Ha I almost spit my desert all over my Laptop, I'm appalled that you said something like this! I have followed you around these threads as much as I could, I have taken your post as Gospel! And Now, now you say this! I guess if one can get away with it, I thought they come with a 400 Gallon Fill-up? Thanks.

While the suggestions listed here are not the beliefs or thought of the originators of this Forum I highly suggest that you take them into consideration next time you are in that situation. we are not responsible for the content of this forum!

I bought the large truckers Rand McNally my first month of trucking. I have no clue where it is now, I never really used it, I do everything with the GPS, back-up checked with online maps. It did make a good makeshift lap table due to its large flat surface though.

One day you will learn how bad of a practise it is to rely on a GPS, unfortunately it will likely be a costly lesson.
