Hey all,
I've been out of trucking for 3 years. I've lived in Washington state in that time, so I recently transferred my Ohio CDL to Washington state. I have 6-7 years experience.
Doesn't seem that anyone will hire me, and I mean mega companies, the ones that hire anyone, or so I thought.
Part of it is my location, and probably something else that they won't share when they reject me
I applied to swift, rejected.

Cr england said they had 2 jobs available in my area. One where I'd have to unload dollar tree shipments. Pretty sure I can't do that. And hauling PODS. Those pod things scare me. Could be anything in there. I don't even park next to those things.
Western express said they'd get back to me by tomorrow morning, and I also applied to Stevens. Not calling them yet. Too much rejection for one day.

If you prefer to stay local, look at Swissport and Gate Gourmet. They're both at the airport.
I think they're both union jobs, which means you can probably qualify for a pension in 5 years.
