I was in Wilmington, De and hit two huge potholes. I hit the potholes at 45mph at night, now these stupid holes didnt have cones or a metal plate over them they blended perfectly in the dark. After that happened i was stopped by a stoplight. on green i noticed as i accelerate the stick started to move in a upward right motion and like the stick is trying to come out of the floor, then the clutch makes a pop noise when im starting from 0 , the stick will move weird like that untill i get into the high gears(8speed). after i dropped the load off in new castle i didnt noticed nothing at all. I then picked up a new load at P&G in Dover and noticed the weird stick motion and popping noise all over again, so it only happens when im loaded or sliding my tendems. What is this?

Possibly broke a motor/trans mount or worse a spring or frame. But I doubt either of the last two.

Yup, engine or transmission mount. Fix it ASAP, or you'll put a fan blade through the radiator.

I'll go ahead and third this thought. But add in just looking at the mounts to see if they are broken will tell you, somtimes they have to be lifted to see if they are broken. Whats happening to you when the shifter is jumping around is the torque from the engine is causing the engine and transmission to roll over.

I know in a 4wheeler you can SEE the motor lift if a mount is broken. Actually, if you gas(fuel) it a bit and then let off, and feel a "bump" then that could be the engine lifting then sitting back down into the mount.

I've had this problem on a couple of different 4wheelers.

I'd have a professional look at it, sounds to me you broke a transmission bracket/mount. As the stick moving hints a problem with the transmission's position on its brackets/mount. Pretty much I'm backing what Windsmith said.

Yep...I....one, two, three, four.....fifth it. The stick is moving as the trans is torquing under acceleration.

    Either way...that's-a not good-a.....

If it is engine mounts, lift the hood and do a tug text with a trailer. Forward and it hops, it is the left mount. Reverse and it hops is the right.

Be careful though. As mentioned, the engine and fan move. The radiator and fan shroud do not!

    I float.

Did that, nothing seems like anything is moving. also checked any bolts, brackets, mounts, even screws and dont see nothing cracked or broken. Its also fair to say im not really smart when it comes to type of stuff.

thanks guys for all the help!
