I think this truck qualifies as spec'd out.

It's just the all the guys I met while at Landstar did. I worked with a husband and wife team that had a Volvo with a 180" ARI sleeper. They told me that A&E was really good up till 9-11 happened, then the govt cracked down on shipping and started using military to transport or they flew it in.

I personally see nothing wrong with having a truck like that as long as you can afford it. I would not finance a $350k truck, but if I had the funds from selling my house or something I might have thought about it. I just know the freight is not there to justify the BIG expense, especially since it is not a requirement to haul those loads. A standard truck will do the job just as well I not better. Tho sleeping on site at Canaveral can be a pain. I did it with my IH back in 2008 for 3 months running stuff back and forth from New Port Richey to Canaveral.

He's just advertising it in the wrong spot. Got to www.5151racetrailers.com and check out some of the toterhomes on there.

Some guys spend $300k on just the trailer. I'm sure a totally custom 58' trailer isn't exactly cheap.

Go to a big race or tractor pull sometime, no shortage of rigs like that.

Someone like Tazz should call this guy and tell him how an aero truck would save him money.:biggrin_2559:

J that for sale truck is all you. You haul permit loads so the weight of the truck wont matter. LOL
You would look good buzzing around Ohio with a 50k coil on.:biggrin_25523:

Here is a pic of a truck I also most bought before I got the truck I have now. The racer also owns a trucking company and a chrome shop. $70K for the truck and trailer or $40K for the truck alone, I would loved to had the truck but I was going to have to remove about half the stainless steel to move the 5th wheel up.
